We serve well-prepared food for hungry adventurers. Our ambition is to let the day's adventures continue around the dining table, and just like up in the mountains.
In our dining room, we aim to extend the day’s adventure around the table, guiding you through new experiences with the utmost care and attentiveness, just as we do when we’re up in the mountains. Our kitchen makes use of nature’s best ingredients, local products and the rich variety of the seasons, with an emphasis on wild game and fish from the surrounding forests, mountains, and lakes. Your culinary journey might start with Kalix löjrom from the Gulf of Bothnia, continue via the forests of the Torne Valley and its moose, berries and mushrooms, wander over the mountaintops with reindeer and grouse, and cross the Norwegian border to the fish and shellfish of the Lofoten Islands.
The wine cellar is as well-stocked as it is spectacular. It is uniquely located in one of the former greasing pits that have been preserved from the roundhouse of the famed Malmbanan railway, which once stood on this very spot. Curious guests can gaze down at the wine cellar through the glass floor in the middle of the dining room, and we are happy to take you downstairs to pick out the perfect bottle for your evening. Our carefully selected wines feature the best of the wine-making regions of both the old and new world wine regions.
Dinner reservations for external guests are available when there is room.
In the dining room, we serve a set menu each day. In the bar, which opens at 3 pm, we offer smaller dishes with a Niehku touch.
If you are not staying at the hotel you will need to make a reservation to secure a table. Table reservations are released on a monthly basis.
You are very welcome to contact us at info@niehku.com for any inquiries.
